Corner Assembly
You don't need an arsenal of tools to build one of our cabins with a Cabin Home Kit. There is no sawing or drilling required for construction. Assembly of the building is a simple and unique process when using a Cottage Kit or Small Cabin Kit . Each panel is fastened to another panel with high-grade screws which have a special coating to prevent rust or corrosion.

Each wall panel is numbered to correspond with the diagram provided in your instruction guide in a Cabin and Cottage Kit. The roof panels are all identical and can be used interchangeably to prevent confusion during construction. The complete building can be assembled with a screw gun, a level, and a hammer. For select buildings and Small Cabin Kits, the doors and windows are pre-installed at the factory.

Our 4' panels are easily assembled to make walls in your desired length. For example, a 12'x12' Oak Ridge Timber Cabin only requires 29 panels fastened together to complete assembly of the building and overhang. If the building needs to be moved after construction it is easy to do by removing the screws and disassembling it. The panels may be fastened together and reassembled after being moved to a new location!

The cottage structures come in panels to eliminate pieces and high labor costs. Wall panels have either wooden channel frames, 2’ x 4’ or 2’ x 6’ frames. The ridged engineered frames have the insulation installed and some have the siding installed. Each wall panel is numbered to correspond with a diagram in the instructions. All roof panels are the same size to prevent confusion during assembly. All roof panels have the soffit vent, 3/4” select knotty pine tongue and groove paneling and the insulation installed. The panels have the charm and elegant appearance of the open beam ceiling with select knotty pine decking. It will take a few more tools to assemble a cottage than a cabin. Scaffold for larger cottages, ladders, screwguns, level, hammer, chalkline and a mitersaw. Because of the way our panels are constructed, 3 or 4 people can handle and assemble the cottages. Any type of floor system may be used with the panels.

The walls are ready for select knotty pine paneling on the inside and various types of wood siding on the outside. The cathedral ceilings are open beam with select knotty pine paneling installed in the panels. All cottages are versatile and have more trims which give them a more finished appearance than our cabins.

Panel Concepts Cabin and Cottage Kits come in standard shell sizes. You can add to a standard shell size for length to make an L, T, +, H or U shape to accomplish your needs and desires. We believe in our customer’s ability to use their imagination to design the interior floor plans and decorate their cabins and cottages to fit their personal needs and enjoyment. You alone, or together with your building contractor, should make the decisions to insure the best design for your comfort.
